A new perspective on the construction industry, unlike anything seen before. 

The industry at its most socially-aware, in step with the age, seeking a role in developing civil society and helping to improve living standards around the world. This is the philosophy behind Pilosio's International "Building The Peace" Award, a project launched in 2011 at the behest of the management of the company, a leading manufacturer of equipment for the construction industry.

To broaden the role and significance of the industry in which it has operated for fifty years, Pilosio was determined to establish an event that will resonate down the years to come.

The "Building The Peace" Award stands for culture and enterprise, an event that hosts globally-renowned guests, business gurus and professionals, and showcase examples of excellence in the industry. It culminates in the presentation of an annual award to those individuals or companies behind those infrastructure, urban redevelopment, regeneration and restoration projects which have contributed to the improvement of living conditions and promoted interchange, tolerance and peace among peoples.

The special guest of this edition on september 21, 2012 will be the economist Nouriel Roubini who now teaches at New York University and whose merits are recognized globally.
